A tough game for Chard Ladies 1s against North Devon Ladies 1s, finishing in a 5–0 defeat. Despite the scoreline, it was a really good game with plenty of positives to take away.
The whole team showed a fantastic attitude throughout, continuing to work hard and support each other right until the final whistle. There was some great determination across the pitch, with everyone putting in a shift and keeping their heads up.
A special mention goes to Min, who produced an excellent save off the line to keep us in the game and showed great determination in defence.
Sasha, Char and Frankie all put in some really good stints in defence, working hard to put pressure on North Devon.
Although the result wasn’t what we wanted, there were lots of positives to build on. The team spirit and positive attitude were brilliant, and we’ll take that into the next game.
