The Boys were up against strong opposition with more experienced hockey players but did not let their heads drop and tried very hard throughout the morning and were rewarded with a goal from Thomas Sainsbury in their last game. Oli Bartlett and Isaac Parris battled well.
Chard entered two girls teams with the first team evenly matched with their opposition, losing three games by the odd goal but deservedly won their last match 4 - 1. Hatty Souttar-Stone was the driving force in midfield, ably supported by Alice Allen, Marcie Russell and Darcie Cockburn. Defenders Millie Truscott and Amber Griffiths tackled strongly in defence.
The second girls team are very young and it was the first Tournament for Katie & Ellie Rich, who both played well. The team were up against stronger mixed opposition and were busy in defence with Eliza Wakley kicking well in goal and Ruby Parris tackling tenaciously.
They did not win a game but again did not let their drop and enjoyed the experience.
