  • Zoom may not work on Firefox, it works fine on Chrome or Explorer/Edge. You can also download the app to any smart phone or tablet.

2. Issues During the Call

  • If your internet access is not strong, you can turn off the video (bottom left of screen).
  • If you cannot join or have other technical issues, please contact me on 07792659686.

3. General Points

  • Please mute yourself (bottom left) unless you are speaking to reduce background noise.
  • Don’t press ‘Share Screen’ as this will share your screen with everyone.
  • The button at the top right allows you to switch between speaker view (large view of the speaker, plus a few others very small) or gallery view (everyone shown as equal size).

4. Questions and Discussions

  • If you have a question or wish to speak during the meeting please use the ‘raise hand’ function (click on ‘participants’ at the bottom of the screen, ‘raise hand’ appears at the bottom of the participant list).
  • You will be ‘spotted’ by the Chair (Hannah McGown) or Minutes Secretary (Sheila Bland) who will then invite you to speak.
  • Once you’ve spoken, click on ‘lower hand’.
  • Please do not run side conversations using the chat function as it can be distracting to the host.

5. Voting

  • There are several items on the agenda that require a proposer, a seconder and a vote from those present. In order to make this as simple as possible:
  • If the Chair has requested a proposer and a seconder and you would be happy to propose or second the motion, please either use the ‘raise hand’ function as set out above or the ‘reaction’ function (bottom of the screen) and give a thumbs up. The Minutes Secretary will then select from those who have raised their hand/given a thumbs up.
  • Voting will essentially be done in reverse. I.e. we will start with abstentions, then any voting against and if we have neither of these we will carry the motion/proposal without a specific count.
  • If there is a need to do a count, we will work in the same order from abstentions, to against, to for the motion/proposal and will ask you to use the raise hand/thumbs up functions. You will be reminded to lower your ‘hand/thumb’ after you have voted and the Minutes Secretary will make sure everyone has done so before the next stage.

Proposal - Amendment to Subscription Rates

The Club has unfortunately made back to back losses over the last couple seasons and as such, a review of the subscription rates has had to be made. Given the current climate that we find ourselves in, the Club is mindful of its members circumstances and does not want to make any amends to the standard subscription rates. However, it does wish to make an amendment to the family rates to ensure that the collection of fees is fair and treated the same across the board.

Match fees will remain the same being £8 for adults and £5 for students.

This proposal is going to be made by Chair Hannah McGown and seconded by Treasurer Lyndsay Blackshaw.

The following subscription rates will remain the same:

  • Adults - £75
  • Students (Year 9 and above) - £65
  • Juniors (Year 8 and below) - £55
  • Training Only Members - £55

The following amendments will be made:

  • We will scrap all current rates for partners and families and a new family rate will be introduced.
  • Family Membership: Any family who has 3 or more members living at the same address will qualify for a family discount. The first two most expensive memberships will be charged at the standard rate, with the third (and any subsequent membership) being discounted by 50%.

Please see below some worked examples to gain an understanding of how this would look.

  • Partners - Old rate was £140. New rate will be £150. (Plus £10).
  • 1 Adult, 1 Junior - Old rate was £120. New rate will be £130 (Plus £10).
  • 1 Adult, 1 Student - Old rate was £130. New rate will be £140 (Plus £10).
  • 1 Adult, 2 Juniors - Old rate was £150. New rate will be £157.50 (Plus £7.50).
  • 1 Adult, 1 Student, 1 Junior - Old rate was £150. New rate will be £167.50 (plus £17.50).
  • 3 Juniors - Old Rate was £150. New rate will be £137.50 (less £12.50).
